	GENERAL POLICIES We do not charge for preliminary consultations. We require a deposit of $250.00 before we begin any design project. For bid projects, we require 30% of the bid up front, unless we specify other payment arrangements in a written contract. A principal and available freelance staff work on projects; we cannot guarantee that any particular principal or staff member will work on any particular project unless that person has been directly contracted to work on the project. In general, we charge by the hour rather than bidding each project. We usually work in 4-hour increments, remaining in close communication with the client in order to manage the project effectively and minimize the need for costly changes. ANIMATION SERVICES RATES Our rates for animation services depend upon the scope and complexity of each individual project. We therefore provide bids after careful evaluation of the scope of work, and we provide alternative ideas and strategies designed to reduce the associated costs, upon request. Animation services contracted by the hour are available. COPYWRITING AND COPY EDITING RATES We bid on each project based upon a minimum $50.00 per hour rate for copywriting, and a minimum $25.00 per hour rate for copy editing. DESKTOP PUBLISHING/GRAPHIC DESIGN RATES We charge $50.00 per hour for all printed projects. We rarely bid graphic design projects since the timing of the creative process varies with each client and each project. We will provide a bid for the time it will take us to create a specified number of designs to be considered by a client, if requested; this bid would not include changes. WEB DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT RATES We charge $35.00 per hour. We rarely bid web design and development projects since the timing of the creative process varies with each client and each project. We will provide a bid for the time it will take us to create a specified number of design mock-ups and one finished site, if the client can provide final content for our review before bidding; this bid would not include changes. ADDITIONAL NOTES We require a kill fee for any cancelled project that does not provide a working product; we require that the client pay for a minimum of 50% of the unpaid hours worked.
